Teachers are familiar with the Emergency Action Plan for students in their care and respond to emergencies as instructed by the emergency protocol documented in the center Emergency Management Handbook.
Information about children’s allergies will be kept in the classroom, accessible to teachers, substitutes and other responsible adults employed by the center. Teachers are trained in the use of EpiPens. Tables will be washed with soap and water following any food related events during the day and at the end of the day. Sharing and trading food in the rooms is prohibited.
Proper hand washing techniques will be taught and encouraged throughout the center. Directions for preventing the spread of germs and sneezing, coughing techniques are posted in the classrooms and in the bathrooms.
