St. Catherine of Siena Early Childhood Center is an ALLERGY-AWARE center.  To the best of our abilities we will assist children and adults in providing a peanut-free environment during the hours of operation of the center, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.  We will suggest foods to bring for snack which are not dangerous to children with allergies.  We will post signs saying “peanut-free room” on doors of rooms in which there are children with food allergies.  We will strive to keep surfaces free of nut residue.

The teachers are trained in the use of an Epipen and have had training in emergency procedures.

However, St. Catherine of Siena Early Childhood Center is located in a multi-purpose building.  The classrooms are used for meetings and activities, over which we have no control, before and after school hours.

We cannot guarantee that the environment is contaminant-free at all times.
