Minor accidents at school are documented on a report form and sent home for parents to sign. If a child has a major accident requiring medical attention, the director or teacher will call the parent and the parent will take the child to the hospital. If care cannot wait until the parent arrives, the administration will make a decision to take the child to the hospital following the permission given by the parent in the medical treatment form. All major accidents will be recorded on an Incident Report and signed by the teacher, director and parent. One copy will be filed at the center.
The center has studied and prepared a preschool pandemic influenza plan in conjunction with preschools in the Diocese and state of North Carolina.
